I am enjoying how to do quilting. I have done this years ago but never did it again for years. I than decided to try again about 4 years ago but never really done to much at that time. Than approx 2 1/2years ago my mother and I decided to make a quilt for my great grand baby and my mother's great great grand baby. It was so much fun that I decided that I wanted to go ahead and start back up again. So I decided that I wanted to make quilts for the kids here where I live at. I have got two done and have two started. It is very relaxing for me to do these. Now once these are done I will be trying to get more done. Hopefully I can get maybe 2 more done for Christmas. I am not sure how many I can get done but I am hoping I can have more than just two done. A lot of times it is more fun and relaxing when you can get homemade things done from someone in your family or even a friend for they too may enjoy something that comes from the heart and by you putting so much time into them.

Hi Debra, Now I can see what you meant about building a quilt around a quilt. I see the pink puffs in the middle. This actually looks a lot like the one I have from my mother in law except yours looks puffier more like a comforter. Of course, it does not have a heavy army blanket in the middle. :-)
ReplyDeleteI now have two more quilts pinned and ready for sewing and these are for xmas this year. I have at least 4 more to try to get ready too for xmas. I am hoping I can get these done. I am going and looking for the colors I need to do them. It would be much easier if I knew how to use a sewing machine it would go so much faster that way.I am also going to start with my grand kids too. They have had theirs for so long they either disappeared in moving's or they dissolved because of the material being so old. I do wish I had them here cause it wouldn't take long to fix those. I could make a new top and sew them back together and it would make it warmer for each one but I am going to have to make brand new ones since I don't have them. Anyways keep your fingers crossed for me and hope I can get several done this year. As I stated before make sure even if we are out of class keep checking back to see them all.
